Tatula Signature Series
Re: Tatula Signature Series
Does anyone know anything about the new Takahiro 7'3" H texas rig rod vs the 7'3" XH? Both rods are rated exactly the same on the Daiwa website. Is the XH the one similar to his original Elite pitching rod and the new H action a softer action pitching rod? I am wondering if these are modeled after the old Black label rods that he used to use. Back in the day he used a MH Black Label pitching rod and a H Black Label Pitching rod? Couple years ago I said in an interview that he was working on a MH pitching rod and this was after the release of the original Tatula Eilte rods.
Also is his new Mh shakeyhead rod the same as his old All-Around spinning rod or is it stiffer?

I remember Omori mentioning that tatula elite 73H was based off of his favorite black label PF 73H a few years back when the elite rods were being released.

I have the pre-2023 7'3" Elite, it's got "Pitchin'" on the blank and it's a "H" not an "XH". It's not a bad rod but I don't get to pitch much in my neck of the woods but it worked pretty good as a frog rod but I don't get to do much of that around here either.jte54 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 03, 2023 8:00 pmDoes anyone know anything about the new Takahiro 7'3" H texas rig rod vs the 7'3" XH? I was planning on taking it out for a spin today but it's raining again smh. Good components (fuji K alconites 11 + tip top, new air sensor seat) and simple clean build. This one does feel a little soft though, moderate fast taper. Hopefully I'll get a chance to use it this weekend.jwfflipper14 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 10, 2023 2:02 pmSweet!! How does feel in hand?

Re: Tatula Signature Series
I got to fondle a few of the new rods today at the Redcrest Expo. Daiwa elected not to bring the new rods to the show, but The Great Outdoors had a few they had ordered in their booth.
Comparing the old 7-3 Ehrler rod the the new one it’s obvious the reel seat is lighter. The balance point of the rod by itself is moved around 1/2 inch toward the tip.
Also the new reel seat allows for direct contact with the blank.

I wonder is this darker silver is more of a match for the Tatula Elite reels? The old one was basically Zillion silver.
