New Poison Adrena
Re: New Poison Adrena
Is the 6’11 MH casting rod the same as the 6’11 M+ with just a new rating? That model is the one that is showing up now online (and in my local tackle shop).

It’s a spinning rod. There is no 6’11 mh casting model
Re: New Poison Adrena
I just got a new Adrena 6'11 M+ and a 7'3 MH. I was blown away by how light they are and how well they balance. I have a NRX 894c as my jig rod. I am wondering how big the drop off in sensitivity would be from the NRX to an Adrena 7'2 H. Thoughts? Preferably from someone who has used both.
Re: New Poison Adrena
How is the action on that the 6'11" MH spinning?
Is it closer to Loomis M or MH?
Thanks.

Re: New Poison Adrena
That sucks. I'm out on this rod series then.......for now.
Re: New Poison Adrena
Anyone using a alde7 50E style reel with the 6’11” rod ??
Looking to know how it balances

I have a core 50 on my 6'11".
It balances right in front of the locking nut with the side of my finger touching the locking nut.

Howdy All,
I've been contemplating picking up the 7'2"H Adrena for Jack Hammers. Most of the time I'd be fishing the 1/2oz model plus trailer (generally a Zako). I'd be fishing open water with some grass developing as our short window of warm weather here progresses.
For those who've handled this stick, is it too much rod if I were to drop down to the the 3/8oz Jack Hammer with a smaller/lighter trailer than the Zako?

I dont know about 7’2” model, but 611 m+ model is, IMO, awful stick for jackhammers. With jackhammer entire rod shakes like a glass from a train passing by. I personally hate it.Gone Phishin wrote: ↑Wed Mar 03, 2021 4:38 pmHowdy All,

I used it almost exclusively for jackhammers actually. I did not think it was too much rod at all. I found that the taper was well suited for it. You can definitely feel the jackhammer through the blank (I used both braid and copoly), but was not the freight train experience Rando describes with the 610 medium. Perhaps because it’s more stiff? Not sure, never handled any other adrena. I could not find anything else I liked it with other than jackhammers, so there you go.
3/8 oz is all I throw with jackhammers

Right on, thank you guys.
Polkfish, do you feel the 7'2"H would not be overpowered with the 1/2oz model plus trailer?

Re: New Poison Adrena
Hah, I get the same feeling from the 611M+, but I love it! It's a good, constant reminder to slow down my retrieve, I always want to work a cast-n-crank presentation too quickly.
Re: New Poison Adrena
No, I don’t think so. It’s still plenty of rod. Should not be rated as a heavy IMO, but plenty of rod for the 1/2oz + trailer. I stalk shallow waters all year long. I find it easier to roll the 3/8 oz through and around cover in the shallows and have better success with 3/8 oz. It wasn’t because I thought the rod could not handle a bit more weight.Gone Phishin wrote: ↑Wed Mar 03, 2021 5:59 pmRight on, thank you guys.
