I do have the 72H adrena. I wouldn't say it's a medium heavy as it is definitely a step up in power from my 72mh expride. To me theres no question that it is more stout than that model expride. I had a 76H expride for a day (but sent it back), and that rod was definitely a lot more powerful than the adrena though. Maybe a 4.5 power rating would be appropriate for the 72H adrena. By that logic, the 73MH could be more like a 3.5 power, and similar to the 72M Zodias.

Anyone have any experience with the 72 M/R? Been looking at getting it to replace another rod, and it looks like a decent moving bait rod on paper.

If you want the most versatile then go with either the 73mh or 72h Adrena. They are very close in feel with the 73mh being just a bit softer and more parabolic.
The 72h is my favorite in the whole lineup. If you've ever fished a Powell or Dobyns 4 power it is very similar to that but just a little bit softer action. To me it is a true traditional medium heavy regular fast rod.
The 73mh to me is like a true medium + power and reg fast action. I use mine with fluorocarbon mainly for red eye shads, kvd 1.5, weightless senkos and 1/4oz Trigs.

I purchased one this past Christmas and just waiting for the weather to warm and I’ll get back to you . Bought it for the same thing, punching 1oz . I do have a reference point as I own the Expride 7’11 xh and the new steez 7’11 which I’m yet to use as well..( can you tell I’m crazy about punching?, lol ).

There isn't a bottom contact rod in this lineup is there? Shame. I REALLY like the build of these rod. It's like they stepped out of a time portal from the future. They all seem to have some moderatecy to the taper though. Definitely going to keep an eye on the 73MH and 72H sale prices as an all aroudner to snag.

Anyone using the 72mhg or the 73mh for cranking? Looking for a rod for cranking a 1/2oz or so in 15 FOW. These two look like they will get the job done. A little worried they might be to stiff.

I have the 76xh and it's a beast! It has a really soft tip that fools you into thinking it's going to be a moderate action but then it shuts off quickly a few guides down.
I've thrown up to a 2.5oz topwater rat on mine with no issues. It's one of my favorites in the lineup.

I know the 6'10" m/f casting rod is the accepted de facto best jerkbait/topwater rod, just curious if anyone uses it for other purposes. Would it make a good finesse plastics rod for shakeyhead or wacky rig presentations or bottom contact in general? Edit: was referring to the expride.

Yes. I used mine for 3/16 oz shakey heads, and same weight jig heads with paddle tails. 1/8 oz I consider too light with it personally. Also good with 3/8 oz top water baits.

Keitech finesse jigs work well on it, too! 1/4oz ideally. It swims (and jigs) smaller Dark Sleepers well, and does a good job cranking smaller squarebills because of its taper.
