That’s the one if you are looking for a high end compile X blank. These guys will have some excellent condition slightly used ones from time to time in the sub $400 range. That is how I got mine. I could not find a USA importer to get one in for me.

I also put my 2nd CT purchase on a Strike Flanker which is a slightly heavier action rod and also the upper end Japanese compile-X blank. Found a really nice used condition one here also.

I think they are at thier most efficient on a ML/soft Mish rod using 8-10lb line. It really comes down to your preference though.

i'm looking for a rod to throw 1/8oz crappie jigs with a steez ct on it. i can almost get there with the brent ehler rod tatula elite, but it's just a little too much. it shines with 3/16oz though.

If you are looking to throw crappie jigs on a bass tapered rod, the Dobyns Sierra Ultra Finesse BFS rod is legit. I prefer a softer action for crappie but, the rod can cast those jigs. If you have to horse crappie from wood, this rod will do it. The rod is a wicked awesome for finesse bass fishing, especially if you know you will be catching bass on the smaller side.Jason Penn wrote: ↑Mon Jul 19, 2021 12:13 pmi've seen jdm steez rods on there, but haven't ever purchased from them.E73Bass wrote: ↑Mon Jul 19, 2021 6:29 amThat’s the one if you are looking for a high end compile X blank. My vote goes for a phenix k2 714 its a fun rod that can do a lot of technics well. I have the alphas sv tw on mine witch i read is similar size to the steez ct and l love the feel of that combo. Ive wanted a steez ct for my k2 for awhile but haven't seen any used ones for sale in the past couple monthsHobie-Wan Kenobi wrote: ↑Mon Jul 19, 2021 9:33 amI had mine on a custom K2 714. Are you talking about the newer glx 842? I love the taper for poppers and jerkbaits but i hate how long the handle is for them.HobeyBaker wrote: ↑Tue May 19, 2020 10:54 amI have mine paired up with a GLX 842c and it's incredible. I use it for 1/16 and 1/8 oz jigs, and small topwaters like Ricos.

Yes. The longer handle length doesn't bother me (long arms).bronzebacks wrote: ↑Fri Jul 30, 2021 12:25 pmAre you talking about the newer glx 842?
