Re: Confirmed new Nrx coming out !!
I, too, just got a new (old) NRX and a GLX, and both have serial numbers. My older GLX does not, but it had the “born” date code.BRONZEBACK32 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 18, 2021 7:06 pmAnything different besides the SN?tmd11111 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 18, 2021 1:04 amI just picked up a new NRX 853C last week and it has a serial number. Not that I can tell. Strange though it had a serial number but no born on date.BRONZEBACK32 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 18, 2021 7:06 pmAnything different besides the SN?tmd11111 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 18, 2021 1:04 amI just picked up a new NRX 853C last week and it has a serial number. Re: Confirmed new Nrx coming out !!
First pictures of the NRX+. Kinda hard to see everything, supposedly it’s the old look with the Conquest handle and a mixture of recoil and Torzite guides. https://www.instagram.com/punchfishing/
Re: Confirmed new Nrx coming out !!
seems like nothing really exciting. basically just a reason to hike prices imho
Re: Confirmed new Nrx coming out !!
My excitement level depends on whether the blank got upgraded or not, and whether they actually increase the price. Neither is discernible from those photos
Re: Confirmed new Nrx coming out !!
The images got removed from that Instagram account. I guess they were actual leaks and we’ll have to be more patient.

Re: Confirmed new Nrx coming out !!
Unless they change to full torzite guide train, upgrade the blank (I’d hope this is a given...), bring back all the fast action blanks, and give a full grip option, I’ll be replacing my late model Legend Elites with current model Legend Elites (maybe Legend Extremes, haven’t fondled those yet).
Re: Confirmed new Nrx coming out !!
I am glad the cat is out of the bag. I, for one, will be happy to purchase a new NRX+ as soon as they are in the shops. No matter the differences of opinions, the rods are sure to be a hit. I just hope the supply chain issues are fixed so that will help with the production and delivery. It will be frustrating if the supply can’t keep up with the demand.

Re: Confirmed new Nrx coming out !!
I am wondering how they will deal with the Warranty program. Assuming that the old (now current) NRX will no longer be produced, I am assuming that one can pay the fee and get an 'old' NRX replaced with the new NRX plus?!
Re: Confirmed new Nrx coming out !!
I saw the instagram posting before it got deleted. Showed a few spinning rods and said torzite and recoil guides. Not sure on the handle but I think it said its the one on the conquest. No mention of the blank being changed.
Re: Confirmed new Nrx coming out !!
Loomis uses the following explanation of the NRX+ blank materials used in their fly rods,
The NRX's Mega Modulus graphite has been replaced with Mega Modulus+, which Loomis reports is 15% lighter than the graphite matrix in the original NRX. The GL7 resin in the NRX is now replaced with GL8 resin in the NRX+, which reportedly offers the same strength and impact resistance as the GL7 while requiring less material, which in turn reduces overall weight.
Maybe the same or similar materials are being used for the new rod series?
