This has probably been asked before, but what is the most versatile rod in your current rod line-up and what have you used with it?

I'll start... Megabass XX Gen 1 EMTF - Its the best rod I've owned for swim jigs (1/4-3/8), swimbaits (keitech style) on a jighead (1/4-3/8), weightless senkos and flukes, small buzzbaits (1/4), small topwater poppers, (3/16-3/8) tube jigs. It also does well with T-rigs (3/16-3/8) in light to moderate grass, spinnerbaits (1/4-1/2), buzzbaits (3/8), chatterbaits (3/8), topwater poppers (3/8), the smaller whopper plopper type baits, football jigs (1/2 or less) in sparse cover, and probably some things I've forgot. I prefer it over the MB Destroyer Daemos and MB XX DSR for most of the previously mentioned applications.

Agree 100% I've even thrown 6xd and dt16s, 10" power worm on shakey heads but now its my jackhammer rod. Ive cought more big bass on my emtf than any other I've owned. Its the only mb rod i have left

I’d have to say 7’0mh poison ultima, X4 MB Destruction,Steez Racing Design 701mh/h Hustler, Evergreen Stallion any version of the 4 I own, OG MB XTIorXFTI Diablo, MB Og evo Elsiel, and the Evergreen Black Raven Extreme. Sorry I can’t choose one and I know I’m missing a few.

They are very close in taper. It does feel like once you get to the backbone the emtf has slightly more power

They are very close in taper. It does feel like once you get to the backbone the emtf has slightly more power. It's worth noting the emtf however longer does weigh a full ounce more than the adrena.

I don't have the best rods, so I would say the 7'M fast Villain 2.0. A Steez A w/ Zillion SV spool casts anything and the rod still works for jerkbaits when necessary... Abu rods feel similar to my Medium powered fast action St. Croix Avid X...

How do they balance? I’m assuming that the EMTF will balance good because it’s a Megabass.

They both balance well with a Metanium B on them but I fish an aldebaran 50 mgl on my adrena because I use it as a moving bait rod. It's my primary jackhammer setup.

Spinning: 6'8" LMHF Helium3 (2019)
Casting: 6'9" MHXF Helium3 (2019)

I do have other rods, but my Helium3s just do everything well. They won't do frogging very well even in open water due to big hooks and small backbones (compared to the 7'3XH I normally use), and they won't throw small stream trout lures very well, but I did throw a size 2 Mepps around on the spinning rod and caught my first stocked brook trout on it last year, so besides the lack of distance, it worked fine. The Helium3 taper is stupid versatile. It makes me not even want to try other rods, which is great and sad at the same time. I could probably be happy with these rods for the rest of my life in terms of performance and comfort.

Older Powell Max 733 casting rod. With the right light spool reel, I can throw anything from 1/4oz to 1 1/2oz, and with accuracy.

Dude...literally my favorite rod that I kick myself all the time for selling. I wish I still had this stick! Lowkey amazing versatility.

The people at Powell said this one is the closest now available. I'm keeping it as my ace in the hole.
