MB orochi perfect pitchvs poison adrena 72h

Any comparisons on those two rods? Looking for a dedicated pitching stick.

I have a Adrena swimbait rod and it is great, but I don't have the 7'2" Heavy you're referencing.

I did have a Perfect Pitch and it was a very good pitching rod (and an even better frog rod), but I would be looking to compare the Adrena (MSRP $360) to the FMJ (MSRP $400). For me the FMJ is worth the extra dollars over the PP when it comes to jigs and/or pitching.

Unfortunately I can't say whether the FMJ is better than the Adrena. Good Luck.

I’m curious to hear feedback on the PA 172H as well. I just sold my P5 X Bites as it just didn’t have enough backbone to it for pitching small to medium baits, I’m hoping the PA 172H will fit the bill.

Adrena has to be lighter in weight.

Yep, my PA 172H arrived yesterday and it’s extremely light in weight! Hope to get it on the water later this week.

Can you provide feedback on the Adrena 7'2H? Can it do 1oz bullet weight plus plastic? Is the upper range really 1.5oz as it states? And last question would it be suitable for frog fishing?

Thanks in advance.

I personally think the 72h Adrena fishes like a mh.... I’d never think about frogging or using it for anything over 1/2 plus plastic despite the ratings....maybe look at a 73xh expride, megabass wildbunch or Faust perhaps? Maybe it’s just me

I have both rods. The Poison Adrena is much lighter, much crisper, and better balanced. However, it doesn't have near the power needed for a dedicated pitching stick. I would call it MH at best. It's great for weightless senkos, light texas rigs in sparse cover and some moving baits. The Perfect Pitch definitely has more power but that's about all it has going for it in my book.

I think I'm going to go with the Expride 7'2 Heavy

I have both the adrena 7’2”H and the X-bites. But I don’t own the perfect pitch.

Regarding the X-bites vs. the 7’2”H adrena, these rods aren’t even close to comparable. The X-bites is a much lighter action built for things like shakey heads and senkos, etc. The 7’2”H adrena has a lot of backbone. I flip with it no problem.

I like both rods a whole lot but for very different reasons.
