Nice addition with the x-flock over the cork! The Blazon rods have always been much nicer than their price point suggests. I've owned a couple of the previous models myself.
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

I agree but i got to admit that i bought it cause of the new rod butt style  . Price wasnt bad either for the rod so i end up ordering the 6'11 model as well.

Since ill be having their 6'11 h/swim bait rod on the way, what daiwa reel would you think pair good with it? Im thinking of experimenting the steez a tw hlc first.

Interesting rating on that SB rod... Much of the reel pairing will depend on whether you're going straight braid all the time or if you're going to need capacity for FC. 16/110 on that new HLC might work out well. I should have my new Steez A HLC later this week if all goes well so I'll know more. My first thought was Zillion HD... That's a nice, tough, great casting reel that is often overlooked when guys need a tougher reel or a little more line capacity without going to something much larger.

Yes i was looking at that one as well. Ill try how the steez a hlc and see how it works out but i think the zillion hd like you mentioned would be a better fit with that rod.

i've been looking at the 6'8 l online, and really thinking about ordering 1. i wish daiwa usa would make some of the bfs rods available so that shipping wasn't as much.

JDM Tackle Heaven just stocked up with the Blazon C68L-BF! A bit more expensive on the "MSRP" side ($150-160 JPY/USD) vs Asia Portal Fishing though.

But I did order one!

i should have taken some pictures earlier with my set up and fish. But the 6'8 blazon rod is a pretty nice rod for light applications and its sensitive enough for me to detect bites. I have been throwing 1/16 jig heads with crappie lures and it cast pretty good with the curado bfs. For the price its a really good rod and if you can find one pick it up.
