I ordered the 7’6 MML on a whim. Should be good power finesse rod when looking to cover water with small swimbaits and topwater. Also looks like it will be good with the lighter harder to cast stuff like neko rigs and hair jigs. I plan to try it with 2500 certate and 3000 Exsence but figure the 3000 size is going to be the way to go.

I was looking at the new NRX+ but I already have a 842S conquest so I figured I’ll try the new Steez.

If I hadn’t bought a 761MML just 6 months ago, I’d totally go for one of these. The cork version looks much better IMO. Performance-wise, I’d expect a similar situation as with NRX/NRX+: maybe a tiny bit better, but no reason to upgrade over the old version. Looking forward to some reports, tho.

Extremely similar to the racing design at first glance, I don't see anywhere that these have 3DX, I pre-ordered the Bottom Contact II once it comes in I'll compare it to my RD 701MH/HXB-ST

I've been fishing these rods for quite a while now from prototype to final design stage. I'm excited to see these get out there and for guys to start talking about them. The Tackle Trap has them all at the Bassmaster Classic right now so we'll take some photos and post them up on the FB/IG page today.
Gary, have you been able to fish “the sensor” at all? I’m interested to hear your thoughts on the titanium tip. Also, how does it balance with a lighter reel like a steez ct sv or pixy?

Reel seat looks to be the same as the one on the Rebellion rods. ](*,)

Totally different in my opinion.

The trigger is too far "forward" for me either way. I had to sell my one Rebellion rod for that reason.

Hi Gary,

Will the original Steez AGS rods still be available or are they discontinued? Daiwa still has them up on their web site.

Thanks

Darrin
Hi Darrin - the black/blue Steez rods are going to be discontinued.

3DX is on both the Heavy Cover Special, 74XH and the Flip Pitch Punch, 711XH.

Yes, I've fished all these models for months now through prototype to final version phases. I have fished The Sensor with a Steez CT and 10# Daiwa J-Fluoro Samurai most recently throwing light t-rigs and a 1/4 oz finesse jig. Balance is what I'd consider good, not perfect, but not overly tip heavy either with the Steez CT. The balance point is just at the front of the lock nut at the blank junction.

How does the new 76MML compare to the original unicorn?

Is Daiwa still offering Lifetime warranty on these new AGS rods? Really on the fence between this and the new NRX+ 7'6 spinning models. Thanks!

Was just about to pull the trigger on a bottom contact.

Now I have to wait. Ugh may have to pre order one
I got one recently...but I only paid $225 for it brand new
🤩 just wow 🤩
Heck of a deal for sure !!!!
I’m not one to ask for someone else’s plug but that an awesome connect you have. If he or she can run that price on a new nrx or compile x than you have the plug of all plugs
