2021 steez ags rods

Post by ss30378 » Fri Jun 11, 2021 2:20 pm

These new ones look very racing design inspired, from the looks and a couple models. And for once Daiwa didn’t raise the price but actually dropped it a few $ across the board. I’ll wait for Gary to chime in on how improved they are but I’m actually pretty interested in these.

I spoke with Brian from TTT today, and he said Gary brought them to the classic. I asked if the action on the Bottom Contact remained the same, and he said he believes so.

I'm wanting the 7'6" spinning model even more now.

I know a lot of people are going to be happy they got rid of those foam grips and went with cork. I’m sure that alone will sell a few more rods. I have three of the 7’6MML spinning rods and the bottom contact rod. Not really sure if it’s going to be worth it to upgrade though

They’re already up for preorder on the Tackle Trap. $549.99 across the board

Your too kind, I’m sorry I ruined your surprise 😂

Seriously though it’s always hard with rods like these because by the time the truth gets out about the performance your either behind the curve in getting one or highly invested in something that doesn’t work for you.
With this series it’s really going to be essential that they differentiate from the bottom contact rods, the Racing Design rods and of course the blue AGS line - whatever they are called.
I’m looking for something different and i got word from a JDM supplier that what I’ve been looking for is simply not available anywhere.

Of the ones listed several are stand out rods to me especially the 7’2” rod.
Can’t wait but I’m hoping TT.com editors will point us in the right direction with so many new options out or almost available
