Hi guys, I decided to pull the trigger on the new NRX+ Spin Jig 782S SJR from American Legacy and just received the rod today.
Unfortunately to my horror after unpacking the rod there were 3 main issues to this where:
1) the first guide is loose and makes a noise when I shake the rod
2) reel seat came with stains and nicks
3) the blank bends a little to the right at the tip of the rod
I live in Asia and the customs tax for this rod is about 7% (approx USD 42) for bringing the rod in.
I’m quite disappointed that this USD 595 rod would have passed the any Quality Control checks at the factory.
Anyone faced similar issues? Would be very grateful if any advice can be shared in how to rectify this without FS ing additional customs tax for refunds/a replacement rod.
I have also contacted the store and let’s see what happens.

Mine came with no quality issues. My suggestion would be to post in the Shimano support forum and see what @Bantam1 thinks.

OP, I have had all these issue with the previous gen nrx. I have owned near10 nrx rods at different times. Several had blanks that kicked to one side and almost all had guides that creaked or clicked when rod was in use. I had a few that didn't but not many. It's a shame because I love the rods. Another common issue was misaligned guides and poor guide wraps.
