St. Croix Legend Elite 7’6” MF

Post by rubs96 » Sun Jan 16, 2022 5:18 pm

Hi everyone.

I’m looking at the St. Croix Legend Elite 7’6” MF (specifically the 2-piece version).

Any feedback on the rod? Great all-purpose rod? Excels in any particular technique?

I would use it for smallmouth in rivers and lakes.

Great to know. Line choice preference? Braid or fluoro or mono? What lb test is the sweet spot?

Thanks!

Do you ever fish slip bobbers for walleye?

Amount of lead (overall weight) given conditions (depth/current flow) should dictate. It’ll handle a wide range. It’ll also bomb cast a soft jerk bait if so inclined. Great river smallmouth stick with a lot of versatility.

I never have but I would try it in this spring or when rivers open up again…

Seems like this is just a great overall stick. Thanks for the feedback.

It should make for a great walleye stick in general. 8-)
