Re: New Legend Tournament
Kinda looking forward to what the are like.
I do however wish they would update the Legend Elite.

Re: New Legend Tournament
They finally did a handle right (spinning)! Victory included in that statement. These look nice.

The spinning looks good
Casting one of these years they’ll get it right. Just give me a ecs with a clean locking nut with trimmed threads. Also disappointed they don’t offer the MF in 7 or 73

Why on earth are they going with non-contact reel seats?
I have an Avid that is like a top-5 rod for me but when it breaks I am going to look elsewhere for a replacement.

Now they just have to put out a ML or L casting.
slip bobbing is the laziest way to fish
Re: New Legend Tournament
I’m confused by their new lineups and all the new tapers and also by their insistence to use skeleton reel seat.
I miss the avids I had.

Anyone see these in person yet or order one? Curious your thoughts.

Re: New Legend Tournament
Wishing the 71MHXF would have made the cut this time. I was ecstatic to snag the last one in the previous LT line from The Tackle Trap.
Re: New Legend Tournament
I looked at this lineup for a while, seems a few models are missing. The used to have a 6'10"ML or M shaky head rod (casting) that I would have loved for river fishing. Seems most of these models were geared toward heavier lures. With BFS growing daily, it surprises me that more mainstream manufacturers haven't made more ML and L (or even UL) casting rods.Gone Phishin wrote: ↑Thu Apr 14, 2022 1:54 pmWishing the 71MHXF would have made the cut this time. Yes, local tackle store has them in stock. Briefly looked them over. Feels like an improved Victory. I don't have a need for any of the offered models.Thunderblack1984 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 14, 2022 1:02 pmAnyone see these in person yet or order one? Curious your thoughts.

Re: New Legend Tournament
agreed it sucks. and to think they are discontinuing the whole avid lineup which had full cork handles and exposed blank baitcasting seats for these crappy victory redesigns.
it sucks

Same here. That SK seat just plain sucks.
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

Re: New Legend Tournament
Yikes! That thing is hideous.
So many from my club have St Croix. Never held one that I would want to fish. Ironically, the more expensive models seem worse, more tip heavy, and poor ergonomics.
