Smith makes some really nice rods. I have a Troutin' Spin BC Classic 6'5" ML 3g-12g I use for steelhead, very high quality blank and reel seat. The rod is a moderate fast but has plenty of backbone and also did very well for me smallie fishing. It's one of my favorites.

I just bought another Smith Troutin'Spin, a 7'4" M 5-16g 4-10lb. i couldn't say no because Trout Shop has them for 50% off, came out to $242 after shipping. https://www.troutshop.jp/index.php?m=k& ... 01GJ001018 Hopefully I have it later in the week. I plan on using this on the Detroit River.
