I've not heard anyone complain of poor quality work assembling a Loomis rod. Its usually the rather plain appearance that gets picked on. They remind me of a basic work truck fleet trim. A functional tool with no nonsense. The detractors such as myself point out that maybe if it is going to be a basic work truck then it should't cost fully loaded money but its a free market and everyone has their preferences.
