I took my two Trizas on a plane trip last week. Packed them both in a hard case suitcase as checked luggage. After getting back home, the connection pieces on the Lopros was missing and I found it loose, in the cloth bag. WTF? Only explanation I have is that the cold air in the cargo hood shrunk the carbon and that vibration shook it loose, but I don’t really believe that. It looks like it was glued in before.
Has anybody seen this? I sent a message to Megabass customer service but haven’t heard back yet.
Triza Connection Piece Dislodged
Re: Triza Connection Piece Dislodged
Stuff like this is why I buy my Megabass rods from Tackle Trap or the Hookup Tackle. I get a US Dealer warranty.
Re: Triza Connection Piece Dislodged
I think I got this one from Tackle Warehouse, so it'll be under warranty. They're just really slow to respond, haven't heard back yet
Re: Triza Connection Piece Dislodged
I am a Megabass fan boy, so it sucks to see that happen. I hope this has been worked out. I absolutely love my Dragoon, so I hope this isn't a regular occurrence with this line of rods.
Re: Triza Connection Piece Dislodged
I'm getting a free replacement but need to send in the rod. No way to reinsert the connection piece. Annoying, but once they get back to me it's always been painless and I'm just out of time and shipping cost to send the rod in (not as high with a travel rod at least).
