What's your favorite Megabass rod series? Is it Orochi X4? X7? P5s? USA Destroyers? Blank Jungles? And why? I ask because though Megabass still falls under enthusiasts tackle they don't certainly feel as special as they once were. Thoughts?

I’d have to say P5 since that’s the only line I’ve ever fished, let alone seen in person. Being stationed in Japan though I’m certainly going to look for some of the classics on the used JDM market.

Haven't used them all, but based on my experience and pretty much everything I've read, the X7 series is hard to beat.

Yeh have to say I’ve been pretty impressed with the p5 line. My whipsnake is as nice too!

X 7’s, but I haven’t tried the P 5’s.

for me it was the usa destroyers, though i never got around to getting an x7, which i definitely regret! i loved my usa destroyer flyssa, more than the p5s i have (windbuster and baby pugging), and the phase 3 aaron martens limited, if just barely! the original orochi xx was a great series as well, havent tried the current line up though.

I may get some sideways looks here, but I always liked the X4 series. I'm a fan of the understated aesthetics of that series, and the performance was excellent amongst the 3 models I owned. I always thought of them as the Johnny Cash of the entire MB lineup, the "Man in Black", so to speak.

Easily the X7’s and arms, but The old XTI Evoluzions will always have a place in my heart. At one point I owned 31 Megabass rods. I like, and have kept a few rods from each series, but If I can only have one Megabass rod it would be the X4 Destruction. It’s the closest to a medium heavy technique do it all rod for me.

The OG XTI and XFTI Evoluzion rods, back when every rod looked better than a custom one. You take one of those rods, replace its massive guides with micro titanium ones, and they look so damn sweet.

The entire line of X7s is fantastic. Had some X4s too and they were great as well.

X4 would be my favorite. I liked the X4 line for moving baits and still have 5 rods in rotation today. I have one X7, the Super Eiger, and love it for lighter stuff. I regret not trying more rods from the X7 line and wish I tried a couple from the P5 line.
