Hi, so I upgraded my 2015 model E6X MBR903c to an IMX Pro in the same model this summer.
wow what a difference. The IMX casts better, is lighter, better balanced and is much more sensitive. I can feel the pulses of my #5 Mepps black fury that I never could with the E6X. this rod is the first 'higher end' rod I've ever owned (its definitely a step above my GL3s and Avids (and the E6X) I've owned in the past. I like the way the eyelets are slanted forward too. everything about this rod screams 'high end' to me. It's action is crisp, it casts like a dream.
Expensive but worth every penny IMO.
It slayed a good sized smallmouth on the #5 Mepps Black Fury for me this weekend:
Highly recommended rod.
