Shimano Expride B 7' light spinning rod
Shimano Expride B 7' light spinning rod
Hello
Anyone try this 7' light Expride B out yet?
I have an Expride A 7' light + that I love. I read a few reviews that said the B is a power up, more like a ML than a light power.
I feel like the Expride A light + is between a light and ML as the + designates.
I also have a Zodias 6'9" ML that feels more like a medium to me. Great rod though.

Re: Shimano Expired B 7' light spinning rod
I heard the same thing as well. The 7 plus in model A is such a killer rod. I fished that one season. The Daiwa BLX light is even better. Wish is was longer than 6'10 though.

Didn't know the Expired replaced the Expride.
slip bobbing is the laziest way to fish

Anyone have this rod? Been eyeing it hard as an all arounder. From what I've read most seem to indicate it is more of ML than a L powered rod.

I was playing with the new Expride B in the store and the Light felt like a Light. I haven't had any experience with the prior model, but it was light to me...

I watched that one and another he did with this rod. I ended up ordering it this morning along with a Vanquish 2500. Hope to throw some drop shot, jig and slip bobber for crappie, and probably those 1/4oz berkley spybaits for ice out pond bass and crappie. (Whacked them on it this spring). Hoping it will those and others where I don't want to use my BFS stuff. My first nice spinning outfit so I'm pretty excited.Hulkster wrote: ↑Thu Jun 08, 2023 7:56 amHere's a video where JP uses this rod for microfishing:

It’s a fun stick. I utilized three last year with Stellas and 5-8lb PowerPro for downsized (1/8-.1/4) treble hooked baits for my river smallmouth. It keeps those hooks pinned nicely.
