Daiwa could have done themselves so much more service, if they didn't have a couple of staffers high fiving over a couple sub 1-pound dinks.

I hope you're just funnin'...all I see are dinks this this vid as well. Did I miss something?
Funnin....This is the full length vid of the particular promo video they were running.
The celebratory high 5 is reminiscent of a mentos commercial or Perfect Strangers, with Balki and Cousin Larry

If this is indeed the BLX series with different cosmetics, you will want to steer clear of it. The 72H is the most tip-heavy rod I've ever held.
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

I have read a few very positive reviews on a few of the BLX series, but not necessarily the 72H...the 74MH limber and 70MF have positive reviews. I'm really considering the 73ML+ limber as well, I hope it's not too tip heavy.

So are these the rebranded Black Label, or BLX lineup in USDM, or these more akin to nicer Tatulas?

if MSRP is any indicator then these rods are positioned above Black Label, to me don't feel like BLX substitutes...
super weird color to me personally lol

Hmmm, so the $260 USD pricing noted by Cracker is per JDM stores? Which stores carry these rods? And yes, the color is weird, but ya know "artists" always have to convince the market of the next fad, eh? Lol.

I saw a couple of models pop up earlier in one of the JDM store going for ~35K JPY. don't think they are available USDM, at least not yet. on a related note one of my local stores are clearing out Tatula Elite rods...perhaps new ones are coming

Yeppers, a retail store's actions speaks louder than words not spoken...would make sense on a newer Tat Elite coming, or a replacement.

I think this series is on par with Black Label series.
So far only two models released - C65MH-FR and C610M

Kool, good to know. I was really interested in a model in the 6'10"-7'2" range for smaller shallow to mid cranks in 1/4-3/8 tops. More of a true ML mod.-fast.
