I would like to get an extra heavy rod. I like the 7’3xh, but it’s sold out everywhere. There is only a 7’6xh available. Both rods rated the same on paper, the only difference is the 3 inches length.
My only concern is how does the the 7’6 balance?

Depends on what you're using it for really. I have both and they are very similar but the 76xh seems a little bit stiffer to me like a flipping stick. Which is what I mainly use it for. The 73xh is a frog rod and has a slightly deeper bend. The 73xh also balances better. Both of mine have 22 Zillion HDs on them.

Thank you so much for your response! How much better does the 7’3 balance?Dink Whisperer wrote: ↑Sun Jan 08, 2023 4:50 pmDepends on what you're using it for really. It's honestly not that big of a difference in the balance and also depends on what reel you will be putting on them. With the 7' 3" It feels like the majority of the weight is right at your palm where the reel sits. With the 7' 6" you kind of feel it in front of the reel if that makes sense.Fishydish wrote: ↑Sun Jan 08, 2023 7:52 pmThank you so much for your response!
