I agree with everyone saying it’s a hard choice!

I have Shimano, G. Loomis, Jackall, St. Croix, Daiwa, Megabass, Abu Garcia and Fenwick rods in my lineup.

Picking Shimano covers a bunch of brands and types of rods.

I think if I had to choose just one rod brand from all the above-mentioned ones it would be narrowed down to either St. Croix or G. Loomis.

If I could, I would have a lineup of NRX+s or Legend Elites. Maybe just a handful of spinning and casting rods

Cast your vote there since Fenwick is still reflecting "0".
I've changed my mind again. If money was not an issue, I would get the Super Techna Series.

Hells yeah!

I selected Evergreen...if money were not an issue.

I'm going full custom before I drop big $ on a factory-built rod.

The only thing I've worried about with full custom is their access proprietary technology and blanks that some of the higher end manufactures have or make themselves. With that said, I am looking to have a custom mountain stream rod built in the next year.

I picked Shimano because it included Loomis. I do think the new Pioson Glorious line would be ideal if they added a couple jig rods (H+/XH).

I think that Loomis and Jackall should be separate. Having the poison line, nrx, etc all under Shimano makes this answer too obvious.

I picked Shimano, only because Shimano, nothing to do with Gloomis. Poison series checked all the boxes for me personally, looks great, feels great, fishes great, little to no drama. and Expride offers one of the best balance of quality and accessibility IMO

however, I would go Daiwa if I really really had to select one brand in real life... :D

Yeppers agreed, did that for over a decade with 9/10 of all rods I purchase being a custom, and 100% of them being spiral/acid wrapped. The death of Shikari and other USA banks, GLoomis pulling blanks to builders, issues with NFC, and poor resale got me back in the factory rod market, granted lately mostly all JDM.

It would have been Kool as all get out if I had been able to custom order a Daiko blank custom, or currently some of the same blanks that Evergreen or other boutique JDM rod makers have access to.

Absolutely. Unfortunately with Vinnie out of the game, I'm not sure where to turn, especially because his work was impeccable.

Megabass would be the go-to BUT if money is not an issue no doubt I'm going Designo. High build quality, obscure, versatile, sensitive, scratches every itch. Evergreen in close second.

No doubt! My local guy also hung it up.

Yeppers for sure on Designo, I just don't know how extensive their lineup is versus Evergreen overall.

I see more good things coming from Daiwa rods...
you think you could tell them to make a line of rods for moving baits that have a more comfortable reel seat than the air sensor? that thing kills my fingers after a day on a good spinnerbait bite

Interesting. I love the Air Sensor reel seat! It's my favorite since the good old Fuji ECS. Now that Fuji ACS is horrible for me.
