Probably Shimano but Megabass rods are cooler and this is hypothetical. If I lost everything and had to start over Megabass would get expensive quick.

I think this certainly should be viewed as hypothetical. I have really enjoyed trying so many high end rods over the last few years. With that said, sometimes I feel as though I have a overlapping mish mash of exquisite rods, which is fine I guess. A part of me wants uniformity, simplicity and familiarity. Thus the purpose of this "if you had to choose just one" poll. It's a really hard decision for me. There are a couple on here that I could pick as my one and only.

I've been very happy with Irod for years.

If I lost everything, the Fenwick Aces Lineup is what I would be looking at.

Props to Fenwick, I have a 7'4 Light GP Techno (think these were the predecessors to Aces) and it is a superb rod. Just wish I had of gotten the ML version. The 7'4L would probobly be perfect for mid stream trout fishing with 70cm minnows where longer casts, a light tip and a strong backbone would come in handy.

Megabass due to the vast catalog of incredibly versatile rods, including the US and JDM P5's. Daiwa a very, very close second with the US Steez AGS rods and a few select Racing Design models, and I see more good things coming from Daiwa rods...

If I had to choose just one, and couldn't build or use custom sticks, I'd definitely roll with Shimano. I really enjoy my Orions, Heartland and Steez Fire Wolf, but Shimano blanks feel pretty special in my hands. I'm mostly referring to the 3 Poison lines.

Cast your vote there since Fenwick is still reflecting "0".

Is it too late to change my vote to Tulala?!?

That new Tulala Monstruo 71BTX Bespoke casting rod is out of this world! I normally don't prefer painted rod blanks, but the Back Lash/Tulala graphics are simply astounding along with the incredible 15 spiral wrapped micro rod guides! \:D/

I already voted for Shimano and it will not let me change my vote.

Haha...old habits are hard to break, especially on the muscle memory side.

Went from Loomis to Daiwa quickly after trying the Racing Designs and new US Steez Ags. Just so much crisper overall and so much more balanced than some of the older NRX models. Kinda hard to go back now.
