Looking for help on NRX + 873
Re: Looking for help on NRX + 873
I wonder, would adding this balance kit void the warranty?

You can get the ALPS balancing kits from Get Bit outdoors and a few other places.godshippy wrote: ↑Tue Mar 21, 2023 10:03 amThis is really clean...like really clean. Where do you buy the kits from?
I feel like I need to go buy a rod to try this on now!

I would think not, if the tip broke off it's not because of what you did to the opposite end?
Kind of like putting aftermarket wheels on a vehicle, and later on a valve spring breaks and the top end eats itself alive, the wheels didn't cause that.
A rod builder could add these kits also, I'm sure for not much more than the price of replacing a guide or two.

I would always recommend calling and asking for your own peace of mind, but I’ve completely rebuilt NRX rods and had to use Xpeditor for a replacement with zero issues. If you slam your rod in a car door, Xpeditor covers it, so no doubt rebuilding a rod would be covered.
As far as their Lifetime warranty goes, I was told as long as the breakage doesn’t occur near where a change was made it will be covered. Again, I’d call or email before making changes, but that hasn’t been a problem since I’ve never had a NRX or Conquest break that wasn’t my fault.
