Seems like a little too much rod for what I'm looking to do, but I'd definitely be interested in hearing how it works out for you next month. What baits do you plan to throw with it?
I'll be using it with Deps DC300 up to O.S.P Blitz Magnum EX-DR plus 1oz to 2oz Spinnerbaits.
It is paired with a Steez A TW HLC with 12lb Toray FC.
I really want to see if the Blitz Magnum gets to the 9.5m (+30').

Man, I'd be a little nervous with 1-2 oz spinnerbaits and a Blitz Magnum with only 12lb fluoro...unless it's mostly open water.
I don't discriminate between waters :big grin:
Jokes aside, the lakes I fish have steep slopes generally and are lacking in cover.
Also, a significant portion of the time, I'll be fishing from the boat.
Finally, I was thinking to go with 14lb but had only 12 or 16lb 8-[

You like your Steez A TW HLC? Had first trip out the other day and it's exactly what I was looking for.
To my great frustration, I have not use it yet

I actually did a big investment this year as I bought the following:
Evergreen Orion OCSC-67ML+ "The Lightning Strike"
Evergreen Orion OCSC-67M "The Cantata"
Evergreen Orion OCSC-69MH "The Moongazer"
Evergreen Orion OCSC-69H "The Stargazer"
Deps Sidewinder GP HGC-77XS/GP "Boa Constrictor"
3 x Daiwa Zillion TW SV 1000H
Daiwa Steez A TW HLC

And had no chance of fishing any of it but all will change as I have a full month of vacation in May. \:D/
So the above plus a Steez TW SV 1012-XH will be the only rods/reels in my deck.

I might have to find also space in the boat for the EG Super Stallion GT
