Surprised this wasn't brought up earlier when AMF started the sale--I'm curious to find out as well.

How are these GLX compared to more modern rods like the Megabass P5, Steez AGS, and the like? Are the GLX more comparable to the Expride and Tatula AGS?

The current GLX rods I liked more than the Megabass Destroyer, more than SC legend elite, and more than expride. They are up there with the best.

That 893 spinning just got a little more attractive. 8-)

It makes sense. Last year they brought a new walleye glx. But there’s no new bottom bouncing rod yet so it probably shares a blank from the new to be released bass glx?

G Loomis sent out an email yesterday. A big news teaser for tomorrow.

I believe I saw a picture of the GLX in a pros rod locker. Similar to the NRX style if it was and not just a test rod.

At the price the GLX can’t compete with the Destroyer, Steez, Xtreme(on sale, which they almost always are). This is a hard pass for me. I sold my old GLXs because the sensitivity wasn’t better than my elites and the handle was the most uncomfortable one in my collection.

I’m glad they brought out some new models but the price… nah.

Not that I can afford one lol, but the one set of rods that was missing from the old GLX line was SJR and MBR rods in the 7'6 lengths. The IMX Pro and NRX + have them but not in the middle with the GLX.

It looks like these aren't included this time around either. Its very weird.

They have added some newer rods that don't exist in any other Loomis line though, which is cool.

Not even the least bit I nterested. These look very boring and modest. I thought the prior generations of GLX were dull but these take the take. I will just hold on to my prior years model

to be honest, I kind of like how they went back to the classic black and gold colors.

These were the colors of the GLX when it was first introduced. black blank, gold logo, gold trim.

So original? Where is the creativity? Yet the price is even higher. You can have a custom built for a fraction of the cost to mimic the look and components

true but it won't be a Loomis blank.
