Daiwa knock off on Amazon...

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

I assume there is some sort of patent on the TWS which is why it had never been knocked off until now. They even copied the horrible shape of the Tatula CT/Zillion TWS SV. Awful thing.

I reported it directly to Daiwa, same as when I found a Casitas knockoff last year. This happens because no one speaks up.
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

A Tatula is bad enough as is, but a Tatula wannabe is

I wonder how bad they really are. Daiwa might sue them if possible. Just sent Zman an idea, after talking with them they couldn't build it because they are already in another lawsuit with another company for something similar... those are both US companies though, can China manufacturers just copy without any consequences?

Yes. I work for an mfg company and China copies bunches of our stuff. No real legal recourse. If I'm wrong then it's just not financially beneficial then because our company has chosen to fight it through "better than the competition ".

If anyone remembers back to the Ferrari / Land Rover copies China was producing and the lawsuits that ensued.

The CCP does what the CCP wants to do.

They need tons of bearings to compensate for the sloppy tolerances. [-X

They just jam up to 8 per knob to bump up the count as a selling point.
