Need Information on this Abu Reel

Hi all,
This is my first post since the cyber tsunami wiped out 3 years of content on TT forum.

I need some help from all you tackle gurus here.
Recently, I acquired this reel from a friend. It is an Abu Ambassadeur 6601.
I tried to search for information on it online, but I couldn't find anything.
I have not seen a single picture of this model anywhere online, which is really surprising.

Can anybody give me more information about this reel?
Is it rare? Why is it that there's not much information about it easily available?
What kind of application is it best suited for?

Looks like a 6601AB that has been modified to function as a standard 6601 c3. The AB refers to an anti- backlash system. Can't recall exactly how that system worked but I do know that the vast preponderance of those who purchased the reel didn't think much of the anti-backlash device. Consequently, many folks modified the reels so that they would function like a normal c3 type reel.

I know of the AB reels. Forgot how it worked though. I do remember that many weren't fond of it.
But I totally forgot that many have converted it to a regular C3.

I have casted a C3 before.
Haven't taken this one to the water, but will it operate as well as a regular C3? Or worse? Or better?

Not sure with the addition of the level wind guide, but I would conjecture no better and no worse.

Btw: the level wind guide can likely be replaced with one from a c3.
