Black drag star on TDZ 103ML?

why do some 103ML's have a black drag star and others do not, is there something different about the reel?

that's a custom painted reel so I'd assume the drag star is custom as well.

The pre swept handle Cabelas prodigy(advantage frame) had a black drag star like the fuegos and will fit the TDZ.
I had 1 on 1 of my fuegos for a while. Looked good w/ a carbon fiber handle.

either a custom painted or it is from the Daiwa BBS.

BBS comes with a black drag star that will fit any TD-Z

yes it is. I was considering purchase of a 103ml from a fellow tackle tour member but in the pics i noticed the black drag star. i asked him and he said they came like that.

Yup, thats my reel...well was, it has a new owner now. I actually bought a small parts lot on Ebay early last year from a guy in Austrailia and that was one of the parts. It does not seem like it was painted aftermarket, it seems factory to me. I always wondered if it was a stock part from a reel and now that teamdaiwarick posted that BBS pic I'm assuming thats where it came from. I still have the black drag star...I might be willing to sell it if someone is interested.

i bought mine from japan like that, but it was used so i really don't know where the black dragstar came from.good to know plat has them.
