16 Stephano 100XG
16 Stephano 100XG
Any info on that reel folks ? Kinda went under the radar for some reason...
It looks like a 100 size aldebaran to me. Body is like the 15 model and svs brakes are somewhat like the limited model.
What can I say about the handle and drag star, it looks like a very ugly desing to me, got the drag star of a calcuta D.
I think I might pass on this one.

The way I read it, the handle is 51 mm, which is just over 2". Is this from the center of the crank? It is longer than 2" in the picture.

Yeah its from the center, the handle must be 102mm diameter for sure.mark poulson wrote:The way I read it, the handle is 51 mm, which is just over 2". Is this from the center of the crank? It is longer than 2" in the picture.
Found out that video that gave me a better look and understanding of the design.

The video did make it much easier to understand.
I actually like the "star" on the handle. It would make crawling a jig or a worm one handed simple.
A salt water safe reel with all those features, and only weighing 5 1/3 oz.!

Has anyone picked one up? Really thinking about one as I love the alde frame and the handle on it but want to know if it’s seen use as a bass reel here, and impressions thereof… thanks!

Neat. Spool is probably shallow but heavy. That's not a bad thing though. My Engetsu spool stays spinning forever and still bomb a 4 inch Senko an unreal distance. Like cast almost all the 20# braid off long ways.
