My Daiwa Millionaire CT SV70 SHL finally came.
My Daiwa Millionaire CT SV70 SHL finally came.
After two and a half months, my Daiwa Millionaire CT SV70 SHL finally came. Is smaller than my Luna 203L, lighter, smoother.
Here is a comparison between the Daiwa Luna 203L and the Daiwa Millionaire CT SV70 SHL. Not ready to use it yet, will be a while before it sees any action. Also I may sell the handle, looks a bit small for my taste. I have a 90mm Daiwa handle from a Ryoga I could use.

I swapped a few parts with my m ito, frame looks to be identical

Looking good! The Millionaire CT is my most favorite out of my arsenal. Many complain about the 10 step brake but I haven't found it problematic. If you want some good BFS capability, grab a RCS SV700S spool and a set of Hedgehog Air BFS bearings, it'll comfortably and reliably cast 1.5g no problem. I have tried the AMO spool with the fixed inductor, but I prefer the air brake as I feel it suits my style of casting better.

The Roro spools are really nice fixed inductor spools. I usually don't like fixed braking spools because I feel they can make your lure "hang" in the air.tincanary wrote: ↑Thu Apr 29, 2021 3:46 amLooking good! The Alphas AIR TW stock spool is a beast but, the Roro wakes the reel up...even though I was impressed by the stock spool for streams.

Has anyone tried to remove those orange rings and install the normal 34mm spool in these?

I might want to reuse them. Just not a fan of the 30-32mm spools the CT reels are using. Way better/more spool options with the 34mm spool platform.eklikewhoa wrote: ↑Thu Apr 29, 2021 8:28 pmThere's a few post about it, simple task just take your time. If you don't care to reuse it then even easier

The array of 34mm spool options is amazing. Outside of the very smallest and the very largest freshwater lures there is literally a perfect spool for every application and reel possible.SSS wrote: ↑Fri Apr 30, 2021 1:44 amI might want to reuse them. It still really confused me that the Tatula Elite line didn't use a compatible 34mm spool. I think Daiwa would have sold a lot more of those reels by that 1 simple change.
