Stradic FL C3k spool swap 2500S ?

I have a couple of these now.
Was looking at picking up an extra spool but was wanting a shallow spool for BFS crappie trout etc. Wanted to use the JDM 2500 Shallow spool to get the most out of the cast.
First as the C3k is a 2500 body with a deeper spool can I swap on a 2500 spool? I assume so as youbcan on the Gosa with same bodies.
Looking at hedgehog, they show spools based not only on size series but also gear size as well. I thought spool sizes were equal baring deep vs shallow. Does gear ratio matter in terms of spool.
Example I want 2500S (shallow) spool.
Hedgehog lists: 2500S and 2500SHG
Is there an actual difference in those spools other than possible markings?
One thing for sure wish I had not gotten out of fishing, selling off most of my gear, like I did, while the kids were in highschool & college sports. Rebuilding my gear is costly at today's prices and I prefer the quality and duty cycle of higher end kit. But it's fun and exciting.....as long as I don't look at my bank statements.
