Metanium MG DC7 question

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Metanium MG DC7 question

Is the spool interchangeable between the MG and the MG DC? I know the i-DC4 unit is removable by itself, so I didn't know.

No... for any spool to be interchangeable, the reels must at minimum, share the same braking system.

In general, Shimano doesn't want you to swap spools.

I suspected as much, but figured it was worth a shot.
