Hi there, new to the forum...
I just bought a used Shimano Chronarch SF and Chronarch Mg (actually they are both the Japanese variants, so I should say Scorpion Metanium XT and Scorpion Metanium Mg). These are the ones that came out in the same era as the Chronarch A, so around 2000. They are both lefty.
I love them both but they don't have drag clickers. I've read people on here mentioning a long time ago that they used a Calais assembly to modify their Chronarch SF with a clicker.
Here are my questions:
1. What's the full extent of this mod on the SF? Which Calais (or other reel that works), specifically, can I take parts from? Are the drive shafts just so similar that I can plop the entire assembly of the Calais on the drive shaft starting after the anti-reverse bearing? Or do I need to pick specific pieces so that it fits? The Calais has an extra bearing, etc, so I guess I'm doubtful it all fits so perfectly.
2. Can the same be said for the Mg? If not, any other reels I can steal from to get a clicker on this one?
Here are the schematics (though I'm not sure this is the exact Calais people were talking about using...

100Mg (can't find lefty): https://www.reelschematic.com/wp-conten ... 003%29.pdf
Much appreciated folks! Thank you!
