Tatula limited release date?
Tatula limited release date?
Before the hate. When will the Tatula limited be available to purchase?

A Tatuloid spider on a nice carbon handle
And that plastic nut retainer looks so damn bad on a carbon handle.

That's not half bad.
Re: Tatula limited release date?
Tell me how this is heavier than the current model? Fake carbon fiber?

This is a joke. $300 for a non free floating Daiwa?
I hope someone with $300 to spend has more sense than that.
You can get a JDM Zillion cheaper or the US with brass for a $50 more.

You knew that wouldn't take long
I'll get one myself without a doubt. In a few years, I think this one will be sought after and in demand much like the Tatula Sterling. It is noticeably different than the standard version. It features an aluminum handle side plate (like Tatula Elite LC and P/F), 90mm custom carbon handle, Zaion knobs, aluminum drag, and a nice color, not to mention it's a one time limited production run. All of those factors warrant the $100 premium over the standard production model as far as I'm concerned. Regardless of what anyone thinks, these are going to sell and they are going to be popular.

Yeah... I don't buy reels like I used to. But this one caught my eye.

I'm a daiwa fan 100% , that's all I fish. But ,daiwa and the tatula is like the c-vid and the main stream media...they just can't let it go. At least throw a free floating spool in it.

Re: Tatula limited release date?
Tatula is a legacy brand. Steez is a legacy brand. Zillion is a legacy brand. They are all here to stay. They all have their place and their target audience. I'm not sure why it seems more difficult for guys to accept that Tatula is in fact a legacy brand for Daiwa. I think that it would be illogical for Daiwa to increase cost by adding free floating spool in the Tatula line when they have clearly delineated them as the "large audience" series. They already have other legacy series with FF spools, each with their own target audience and price points. FF spool or not, the Elite Long Cast and P/F, and standard Tatula SV TW are all excellent performing reels at their price points and I use them regularly.

Exactly. Companies don't like cannibalizing their own products.
However, I haven't been a big Steez owner over the years, but from the new Zillion/Steez experience I do have, the Zillion is definitely encroaching on the Steez space imo.

Re: Tatula limited release date?
I definitely agree that the 21 US Zillion is encroaching on the Steez A. I actually sold a couple of my Steez A's when I got my first new Zillion G SVTW. I still think the separation is far greater between both Steez SV TW and Steez CT. I'm psyched about the new US Steez CT with Hyperdrive and with Executive Service

I understand it's not going anywhere. But , they could at least change it up mechanically. I guess that's what I was trying to say. Like the elite , I couldn't tell no difference in performance from the ct or the 100 , other than my wallet was about $100 lighter over a ct or 100 purchase.
