New Daiwa Steez CT?

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

When is this coming? I hope they put the old CT on sale if this is happening...

I message Gary about it and he mentioned the new one will come with their new hyper drive gears, 90 mm and will come with 5 year executive service.

It appears to be a USA only version and comes in the 7.1:1 ratio which was never brought over in the previous model.
And it will MSRP at about $50 more.

Sad because this reel needs the 8.1 gears. I need a reel to be about 30 IPT for general bottom/finesse tactics. 6 ratios used to be the "do all" gear but now I feel 7 is about perfect. I just don't see how they demand $700 for this reel, looks like they just added a 90mm tatula handle, the lock plate looks straighter rather than angled to one side. When you put the older style handles on those reels, the lock plate points straight to one knob...

It has the 8.1:1 gears along with the 7.1:1.
It’s $50 more then the previous CT and seems as that is for the $10/year service/cleaning that is part of the 5 year Executive service.
