Re: New Curado MGL 150
Few things I noticed.
Colour is some sort of green, near a Curado G green it looks just satin. Thumb bar is fixed over the K
Micro Module gears are addressed. Including the addition of silent tune. Goodbye to my K when these come out. Thanks for posting.

Did they actually modify the gearing? On the shimano site it doesn’t specify if anything was actually changed.

Re: New Curado MGL 150
The new Stella has MM-2 so assumed that they have seen the faults / machines running O/T on gear manufacturing.
Re: New Curado MGL 150
This should've been in a pine green with flakes, just like E series. Other than that, i am not a fan about how they introduce a platform, 1-3 years later, add an mgl spool and call it a new reel.

Re: New Curado MGL 150
Frame may be more ergonomic as the spool diameter is near 2mm smaller than the K.
Untill more specs and it comes out nobody will really know?
Re: New Curado MGL 150
No one mentioned how it has 6 brake blocks rather than 4, at least I didn't see anyone mention that. Also concerning the spinning reel micro module 2 gears, the Stradic FL mainly has smaller teeth on the plastic gears rather than the main gear/pinion... Not sure about the Stella. I want to say I remember the Conquest and super high end Shimano's have a higher tooth count MM than the mid priced reels...

Curado version of the Scorpion MGL but not as pretty.

I think the frame is actually different? 6.5 oz for this Curado versus 7.4ish for the Scorpion MGL.
But I agree on the color not being so cool.

Also a 32mm spool I see. Weird. I would think this would be the JDM one.JCBHatesFishing wrote: ↑Wed Jul 21, 2021 5:50 amI think the frame is actually different? 6.5 oz for this Curado versus 7.4ish for the Scorpion MGL.

Re: New Curado MGL 150
Definitely a new frame, as the screws go in from the outside and the holes are visible in the handle-sideplate. Aesthetically a major downgrade to me. Would have preferred if they sticked with the thumb bar design but improved it, as it was visually more integrated in the overall shape / design.
Re: New Curado MGL 150
I couldn't stand the ergonomics of the thumbar on the k. This thumbar looks more like a metanium , thank god.
Re: New Curado MGL 150
if this is anything like the 70mgl, it's gonna be siiiiick.
agree on the color. wish they went a little bolder on the green

Re: New Curado MGL 150
What makes the 70 mgl worth $30 more than the new 150 ?
Re: New Curado MGL 150
So are these rocking aluminum gears? If so I would rather have the 70MGL... makes it very confusing...
