Zillion TW HD ‘22

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

I would love to have that handle nut lock plate rather than the Shimano style plastic piece that comes on the new Zillion. The Magforce Z Boost is interesting.

34mm shallow spool? :-k Hey at least we get a non silver 34mm Zillion and a 34mm Magforce Z Boost spool out of the deal. Still waiting on a new big Zillion with a 36mm wide spool.

I bet that 34mm magz boost spool bombs frogs with braid. Makes me wish I had gotten a Morethan 19 bronze gear.

This looks like some Steez level reel. Now that i think of it, the next steez from daiwa better be incredible or nobody will bother when this Zillion is a thing.

Price is shown if you scroll all the way to the right where it shows the specs in the link. Manufacturers desired price is 51,700 yen according to that, which would be roughly $450 US.

Basically a Zillion HLC with a funny handle for $450. I'm guessing the spool alone will go for $140 considering what they want for the SV boost spool. Definitely going to get one of these once the price drops. Hopefully this isn't some year or two release and they hang around for a while and that street nears $300. The only 34mm low pros I have are old Steez and SS SV. They dont play nice with quite a few 34mm spools due to the weak magnets. Really could use another 34mm workhorse low pro. Used Steez TW are tempting but I always passed due to the aluminum gears and no brass drop ins.

Wish they sold the engine cover separately. The plastic one on the standard zillion1000 is so damn ugly and belongs on a Fuego. The cnc'd one on the zill22 is so clean.

Will this be a US release?
Based on what I think I read, it might be a good replacement for my coastal 200.
