Ditto!
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

That ugly plastic engine cover again. Ruins the whole reel to me. And they should've had a 80mm carbon handle from the air stream custom on this.

I'm in the minority. That brown and gold make it look like it is going for the early 2000s vibe.

I think the aluminum handle actually looks quite nice on this reel.

I think also same, this reels don't need hi-tech carbon handle, it's just elegant with aluminium handle.

I neither didn't notice this, but thanks SSS! Now I can stop thinking to buy this reel just because it's so pretty

Surprised it is priced higher than gekkabijin air, i don't see any improvements , if anything it is downgrade due to less bearings.

As of late, its the first thing i look for when a new reel is announced. When i see plastic, its an automatic Tatula reminder, and that's not what i want installed on any of my rods  Not to mention that this reel's paintjob looks pretty sweet, and that plastic engine cover is destroying its custom look. KTF/Hedgehog better make a machined engine cover for the new zillion and alphas line of reels.

Although I will get it, I don't understand why it is so expensive. Like stated before, why is it that much more than the Gekkabijin? Both have new spool designs (Stream Custom spool lip taken from Gekkabijin), same frame, gears I imagine...why so much more? Cork isn't that expensive.

In my opinion Silver Creek must have different bearings.

Silver Creek is fresh water only - GekkaBijin is saltwater fine

In Silver Creek might be similar bearings 'Precission brearings' than in Air Stream Custom, which also was fresh water only.

It probably has stainless micro bearings on the spool like the ASC, which was also sold as a freshwater only reel.

Daiwa also doesn't like to rate shallow spool reels with spool porting as saltwater compatible. I guess the thinking is that this allows slat water to access the spool bearings.

Might be but GekkaBijin has ported spool and it's stated saltwater fine in everywhere..
