$730 Usdm daiwa ct sv tw 70

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Very sick of paying $30 for labor and $45 for parts when I forget and leave my metanium/aldebaran in the garage
As long as you don't neglect it, probably fine.

But if taking the Exist service as a guide, if you let it crust and rust and sieze before you send it in, they might deny it? Not sure, i have no experience with it.
If the damage is determined to not be warranty eligible (missing parts, accidental damage, misuse, inadequate care, wear and tear) we will contact you with a price estimate before starting any work.

I can speak from experience from a couple years into the Executive Service on Exist LT, Daiwa is has been very generous in covering these reels under warranty. I expect that will continue with the ES program on the new US Steez CT.

Cant get the US model from Japan. It is the one that's covered by the extended warranty/service deal.
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

Is Daiwa US going for the Best Buy business model? Why would I pay $750 for a $500 reel? You're paying $250 for a warrenty.

It's a USDM market only reel. Brass gears and longer handle.

I have the regular version CT and it's an amazing reel, but hard to justify the price difference with Steez As and Zillions being much less.

Retail on the US model is $729.99. As noted, the US model has a 90mm handle, larger knobs, and brass Hyperdrive gears. Let's think about the value of the Executive Service plan for a second, because it's not just a "warranty." If US Steez CT buyer uses this program, which they should, has the reel cleaned once a year for all 5 years of the plan, that's $150 saved in annual cleaning alone. If they fish a lot and want it cleaned twice a year, that's $300 in cleanings over 5 years. This doesn't even take the warranty part into consideration for that entire duration. This goes for US Exist LT customers as well.

On a side note, I'm pretty excited to see some of the new offerings from Daiwa. I think many of you guys will be excited about them, others will find something to complain about as usual.

$150 to clean one reel once? Is this real? Is this really what people pay? I've only ever done it myself.

Gary said $150 for once a year over all 5 years ($30 each time).
