They're up on jdmtackleheaven. No pics, just gear ratios. Sounds like a smaller diameter spool.
Sort by date, new to old

Bring back 3D braking! While you're at it, how about a 22 Tdz throwback

Although I think the 21 Zillion is a better reel, I just can’t get myself to sell my TDZs. I have five TDZs, 5 Fuegos and a Pixzilla I keep telling myself I need to list but have little motivation to do it. I’d like to see a flat black Zillion with matte charcoal grey hood. I also would love to see a Zillion with a throwback Ito paint job.Hogsticker2 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 13, 2022 10:04 pmBring back 3D braking! While you're at it, how about a 22 Tdz throwback

The '21 Zillion with a Megabass treatment would be boss.Kimbro1014 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 4:14 amAlthough I think the 21 Zillion is a better reel, I just can’t get myself to sell my TDZs. Re: Seriously still no news about new '22 reels?
Just watched 4 of the 22 project t without sound. Just seeing if anything catches my eye. I dont listen to sales people. A couple of take aways:
The Zillion HD is a black Zillion with brass gears, Magforce Z boost spool and 100 mm handle from the old HD. It's a good looking reel but those Tatula tier EVA knobs gotta go for the Ryoga high grips. This will be the new Zillion I buy though. Never cared for the bright silver and black plastic of the regular new Zillion.
Casting distance is emphasized while showing footage of anglers making 30 yard casts.
Japanese don't palm their reels properly. Seriously wtf is that?
Mullet man. More lob casts. The end.
Project T videos used to work as teasers to generate hype. They were the videos that get us taking screen shots and speculating on what is shown. This new format is pretty boring. I didn't see anything I already didn't know within the 1st 30 seconds of visiting their japanese site when the reel was discovered. If anything the sort casts leave me a bit perplexed. Is it a controlled braking profile? It is a boost spool so that shouldn't be the case. Who knows.

Would love to see a new magnesium framed Shimano reel...a revamp of the Core 100/50 would be sweet.

Wouldn't that just be the Aldebaran?Gone Phishin wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 11:55 amWould love to see a new magnesium framed Shimano reel...a revamp of the Core 100/50 would be sweet.

Yup, the 50/1, but I'm greedy and would love to see the larger size as well.LowRange wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 12:17 pmWouldn't that just be the Aldebaran?Gone Phishin wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 11:55 amWould love to see a new magnesium framed Shimano reel...a revamp of the Core 100/50 would be sweet.
