Procyon AL

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Procyon AL

Anyone have any reviews on this? I like the idea of the metal frame. Seems like a competitor to the Stradic FL. I have a Stradic FL and really like it but the local store has Procyon ALon sale. Wonder how they compare. Can't find much info/ reviews on it.

Going to use it in fresh water only for walleye and pike.

I have two. I think they are a competitor to the Stradic FL, but the Shimano is smoother. I prefer Shimano for warm water species and Daiwa for cold water species mainly due to line capacity. Daiwa has more for longer running fish for me. For walleyes and pike, my choice would be the Shimano for better line management (slight) and smoother operation (slightly more than slight).
