22 steez sv tw limited

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Yeah I found that odd too, maybe it is to use up excess production frames??? Would rather just see a CT frame with a larger spool (if that is even possible).

Anyone think it would be worth it to try this shallow spool in a Zillion SV1000? I already run like 5/8 spool old braid then 12lb for just the last 3/8 spool. I wonder how many grams I really save and if it actually makes a difference. Same goes with the Alphas SVTW, I was so mad when I saw they had a shallow version, but I got to wondering, will it really make much of a difference? If not I am tempted to just get another one now while they are super cheap.

It should when throwing lighter baits. Kind of like the 1012SV vs the 1016SV. I found the deeper boost spool to be a bit fickle though, so I mi not pick up the shallow version. More interested in the new 34mm Zpi spool coming out. Not entirely sure what exactly it is yet though.

I don't undertand why they keep releasing steez limited reels when the regular Steez SV hasn't been updated for 6 years. Not to mention the fact that their CDM tatula remakes are better looking than these limited steez reels! Ridiculous. I want a steez so bad but I am not willing to pay the over inflated costs for a limited and not willing to buy a 6 year old reel for full price.

I love new tackle as most on TT.

The 6 year old steez is still fantastic - so many spools to use in that reel that I could do almost all my fishing with the reel.

I prefer to wait for a meaningful update rather than have new reels all the time… I will not be getting the new limited but will buy an old steez if the price i sright.

Let us have ICAST every second or third year - or make annual ICAST smaller - and remove all the excess garbage that comes out…

I saw this as well, but noticed they have no stock. Otherwise I may have been tempted.

The 2021 zillion needs to retire the 2016 zillion frame. If they made a 34mm spool limited Steez CT, i'd be all over it, but i don't want a fat steez tw.
