Shimano iCast leaks?
Any word if shimano will drop anything new for iCast this year? About time for a chronarch update.
Re: Shimano iCast leaks?
I've been looking for info for months, but haven't heard or seen anything...pretty tight lipped this year.
Re: Shimano iCast leaks?
Calling it now... between iCast and the next BMC, we will see a new Aldebaran MGL and Chronarch MGL.arrowslinger1 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 26, 2022 2:08 pmAny word if shimano will drop anything new for iCast this year? About time for a chronarch update.
My biggest desire would be a Metanium DC w/ a coresolid body... but that would be BMC time if that even happens.

I’ve been looking for any leaks and nothing of yet
I do hope all the secrecy is worth it.

I'm really hoping for a new Metanium DC! It's been long overdue IMO.

I wish Shimano will just release some cheaper casting reels with shallow BFS spools for ice fishing. Hmmm..
slip bobbing is the laziest way to fish

There is the SLX BFS available from Japan, But i believe you also have a Curado BFS in the USA. We haven't even got the Curado 150MGL in Australia yet.slipperybob wrote: ↑Sun Jul 03, 2022 11:22 pmI wish Shimano will just release some cheaper casting reels with shallow BFS spools for ice fishing. Been wondering about this more and more the closer we get to ICAST. Wondering for both big Japanese brands honestly. Still have funds for a few more reels/setups and I want to wait and see what's coming.
I figure most of it won't relate to my fishing, best reels for me are already out. I assume a Metanium DC will appear, it has always been somewhat popular and would probably continue to be in the newer frame design. I doubt it but have wondered if they would make a new Conquest BFS eventually.
I hope a new Chronarch MGL shows up, but hope I can sell my old one first. Never been a bad reel but just doesn't fit in well.

I don't love my chronarch, but I think I would rather just keep it than sell it. Probably wouldn't be able to get more than 200 at the mostDirtyD64 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 06, 2022 3:23 amBeen wondering about this more and more the closer we get to ICAST.
