Daiwa is saving us money
Daiwa is saving us money
Most on this forum have all the reels we need. However, if daiwa released a new reel with a sweet paint job....we'd be all over it. I'm not sure how we got to this point. Man we had it good mid 2000's, with an orange sol, purple alphas, red pixy, and blue viento.

That's Megabass' job. They haven't been doing a very good job of it lately.

I keep waiting for a Zillion to come out in a different color. I’d love a black and yellow Pixy, purple Alphas, Ito and red Zillion 50th throwback paint schemes. By waiting I mean I keep buying regular Zillion 1000s and HDs to the point my wife will likely stab me soon.

If any of you are keen on the Tatula 80 then there is a red Salamandura and a blue Coastal version.

I don't think they will ever release another reel. They used to make them when they weren't big in NA. But now that they're printing money across the globe, and became mainstream, there's no reason for them to waste time on reels that they aren't even the original manufacturer off of. If they were interested, there's simply no way that they would've skipped the Steez TW, newest alphas and the newest zillion. Those are all winner platforms for them to tune, but nothing was done.
On thread, i agree. Would absolutely love a Zillion2021 with a td ito color, and instead i get this ugly silver that 89.999999% of fishing reel uses. So boring.

I'm definitely part of the 10% on here who doesn't consider the colour of their reel in any way.
to consider buying a reel (or rod) based on colour is completely foreign.

I just wish Daiwa made more round reels. It would be nice if they brought out a new Millionaire that took the 34mm spools. The I'ze Light, Bay Casting Special, and Ringas are great.

I like the look of the rainbow colored reels, but I'm a grayscale guy myself. So no, Daiwa is actually costing me money at this point.KP Duty wrote: ↑Fri Aug 05, 2022 9:13 amMost on this forum have all the reels we need. Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

I agree, I wanted the zillion hd partially because it was black, I normally don't care but to me the silver zillion just don't do anything for me. I just want a zillion in type r trim.
Re: Daiwa is saving us money
Same here. I wish I had waited, then added the Shallow boost spool to the HD when it comes out. I assume the black paint job from the HD is tougher too? I ended up buying reel covers for all my reels after hearing the new Zillion paint can be fragile.doomtrprz71 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 05, 2022 6:34 pmI agree, I wanted the zillion hd partially because it was black, I normally don't care but to me the silver zillion just don't do anything for me. It must be lol cause I haven't knocked any off yet and I'm rough on reels, I worry what my new deps z2020 is going to look like after I fish it.DirtyD64 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 06, 2022 5:39 amSame here. Also, I don't know if anyone noticed, but back in '15 or '16 JP Angler had numerous megabass reels on clearance. Even at the clearance prices...they sat for months.SSS wrote: ↑Fri Aug 05, 2022 12:24 pmI don't think they will ever release another reel. They used to make them when they weren't big in NA. This doesn't necessarily translate to saving money for me this just gives me an opportunity to blow my cheddar on swimbaits
