Daiwa Customer Service

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Daiwa Customer Service

Post by HobeyBaker » Wed Mar 01, 2023 9:35 am

I was doing spring maintenance on a few reels and lost some small parts like bearing retaining clips being careless (I had a few beers). I called Daiwa this morning and they're sending them to me for free. I thought I would post this to show the kind of factory support you get from them. The reels were an Exist LT and Certate LT.

I've had good experiences with Daiwa Customer Service as well. I called one time to buy a spool for the color. Got bounced around to a couple geo's, and someone helped me buy it. It was awesome. Took some time, but I like colors.

They have always been friendly to me and sent me minor parts for free. Something I've never gotten from Shimano, especially the friendly part.

I sent an email and never got a response. I think I’m gonna call them.

They're great on the phone, just make sure you have the part numbers you need handy because that's how orders are placed. Warning, they will put your package on a donkey, slap it on the ass and tell it to find you. I've never waited less than 2 weeks from a parts order from Daiwa USA. Closer to 3 weeks is the norm. They ship FedEx Smartpost, so it will tour the lower 48 before magically appearing.

I've gotten quite a few small bushings or clips from Shimano for free over the years--I'm surprised that you ran into this!

Accidentally twisted the stripper guide on my beloved ML Ardito. Emailed them and they sent me a brand new rod. Excellent experience.
