So how is the paint holding on the 21 STEEZ LIMITED?

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

^good to hear. A bit interested in getting one, but after the paint on the Z2020 and old limited edition Steezes, i am paranoid about their paints jobs that flake of by themselves.

On the Z2020, just take a good car polish, a micro fiber cloth, put in an hour of elbow grease and buff it into a "liquid Z".

Yea, i wanted to do that a few years back, but the palming side plate is plastic, so it wouldn't look too good. If it was an easy to find, i would just send it to be custom painted or something, since the original paint is a complete mess on mine.

Actually it comes out matching very well on the entire reel. I did my first Z2020H in the first month I purchased it from Brooklyn Bill in 2010...still looks the same as when I did it...it looks like a polished liquid gunmetal color.

Doesn't bare aluminum tarnishes over some time? My alphas itos sure do after a season of use.

This isn't going to be bare/raw/untreated aluminum...it's polished paint onto the already treated aluminum. No tarnish whatsoever.

I otherwise haven't taken the time to figure another platform for posting pics since Photobucket started holding pics for ransom.

Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.
