Daiwa Morethan PE 1000 uses

Just picked up a super clean, almost looks unused Morethan. Don't know much about them other than they are based on the Steez A frame, which is a favorite reel of mine. I have the 8 speed version. I know it's supposed to be a more solid Steez A.
Does anyone use it for standard bass fishing uses, or more heavy/bigger baits fishing?

Use how you would use any standard bass reel with braid, 8:1 makes a great bottom contact/jig n worm reel.

I use mine for throwing buzzbaits. I wouldn’t throw too big of a bait on that stock spool as it’s fairly shallow.

basically use it in the same applications you’d use any 100 sized reel

I use my 8.6 XH for all moving power techs, anything from 1/4 oz mag finesse with a Ray's BFS spool, to 1/2 - 1.25 oz topwaters, frogs, and wakes. I love it for swimjigs and paddletails as well, and of course lipless and even chatters and spinnerbaits when I want to move it higher in the water column and need faster pickup in faster moving waters.

My 7.1 2019 Morethan I use for anything and everything that works well with 30 IPTs.

FWIW, the stock spool is fantastic with braid and does well with mono/copoly/fluoro as well. To me, this reel is what I prefer when I want to use 1/2 oz + power techs and don't want or need the size and weight of my Z2020H.
