Line types…if you could only have one

Fluorocarbon vs. monofilament vs. braid or superlines…if you could only have one what would you take?

Hmm...I would say monofilament. There are some nice monofilaments out there these days that they can cover pretty much everything.

Freddie, perhaps you should clarify whether someone voting for braid could use other materials (nylon mono or fluorocarbon) for a leader.

If so, that would be my choice (though I currently have mono on at least three times as many spools as either braid or fluorocarbon).

One that they haven't made/released yet.

Braid that's solid fluorocarbon coated. It will be tough as fluorocarbon lines and short stretch strong as braids. A hollow fluorocarbon line with a braid core?
slip bobbing is the laziest way to fish

8 carrier braid all day and twice on Sundays.
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

Braid, but in freezing conditions braid can't be used. So if mono wouldn't allowed, fishing would be limited...

Nope. I already use fluoro for everything except top water. If I had to choose just one line, it would specifically be Sunline Defier original, but I wouldn't be happy about it. Good thing I don't have to.

^ agree, good thing we do not have to.
I like fluoro and mono, but end up with braid on most reels.
Braid lasts (almost) forever and work best for most of my applications.
This time of year mono shines but I am no fan of fishing in freezing temps.

Not a fair analogy. People don't care THAT much about sex with a supermodel. 😂😜🤪

If I lived where that was a problem, I'd have to move, period. If moving was no option, I'd seriously contemplate ending it all.
