Various co-polymers on different outfits
for different applications/situations,
plus flourocarbon (with mono leader) for
Carolina rigs.
Like many, when I first tried fluorocarbon, I did it backward, using the FC as a leader. That was a bad idea. Stretch in the leader is vital. Nowadays, if I can dedicate a combo to C-rigs, it has a fluoro main line and a mono/copolymer leader (they're the same thing as far as I'm concerned, in that they are both a single strand line constructed primarily of nylon). Even if I'm in a situation where I have to use braid as a main line, I usually put a few feet of fluoro on above the swivel to handle the abrasion of bottom cover and that heavy sinker.

Braid to floro or mono on spinning and casting on all but my crank bait rod and using 10lb Advance mono on it and working pretty well but tried it on another MGL for jerkbaits and it coiled really bad KVD helped some but I took that crap off and went back to Smackdown with a leader

Spinning: Braid + fluoro leader

Casting is more complicated.

Dropshot: Braid + fluoro leader

Pitching, plastics, jigs, jerkbaits, crankbaits: straight fluoro

Topwater: Mono

Frogs and punching: braid

Chatterbaits/spinnerbaits and A-Rigs: Copolymer
